By giving donations a new life, we reduce waste, fund job training programs, and support community sustainability. We divert over 30 million pounds of textiles and goods from landfills each year through resale, recycling, and zero-waste initiatives. Every donation is reinvested into community programs. More than 91 cents of every dollar generated in our stores directly fund education, training, and employment opportunities for members of our community.

For large or bulk donations, we offer a free commercial, estate, and large home pickup service.
- Are you located in the Tri-County, Horry County, or Georgetown County area and need a donation pickup due to downsizing, moving, estate execution, or liquidation? We’ve got you covered!
- School Donations – We accept bulk school-related donations, including books, classroom supplies, furniture, and more.
- Corporate & Commercial Donations – Are you a business or organization interested in making a large donation? We make it easy to contribute.

Every item you donate is sold in our retail stores, and more than 91 cents of every dollar generated funds education, training, and employment programs throughout South Carolina.

Donation receipts are available upon request at the time of donation at any of our donation centers.

Yes! We accept computers and related electronics, including laptops, desktops, tablets, and accessories. Our certified team securely wipes hard drives and responsibly recycles e-waste.

Palmetto Goodwill partners with Dell Reconnect to offer free recycling of used computers and tech accessories at select donation centers. You can drop off items like laptops, desktops, monitors, and cables—any brand, working or not. Dell handles data wiping and responsible recycling. Your donation helps reduce e-waste and supports Goodwill’s job training programs.

Absolutely! Financial donations help us expand our programs and directly support our mission.
Ways to Give:
- Donate to a Specific Program – Choose to support job training, education, veteran services, or another specific initiative.
- Gift a Tribute – Make a donation in honor or memory of a loved one.
- On Behalf of an Organization – Companies and groups can contribute as part of their corporate giving efforts.
- Recurring or One-Time Payments – Choose to give a one-time donation or set up recurring contributions.
- Anonymous Donations – If you prefer, you can donate anonymously.
If no specific program is selected, your donation will go directly toward Palmetto Goodwill’s greatest need.

Yes! If your donation meets our minimum size and amount requirements, you may qualify for free home pickups. Check if you qualify for a free home pickup.
For larger donations that don’t qualify for free pickup, we partner with ReSupply—a veteran-owned third-party vendor—to ensure safe and efficient donation pickups. Schedule a pickup with Re-Supply here

- STAR Program – Fiber Optics Industry Training: A four-week certification course designed for individuals with little to no experience, preparing them for careers in the fiber optics cabling industry. Participants can earn industry-recognized certifications such as BICSI Installer I, OSHA 10 Construction, First Aid, CPR, and Forklift. Learn More
- Google Coursera Professional Certificates: Self-paced, online training programs offering certifications in high-demand fields like IT Support, Data Analytics, Project Management, UX Design, and more. These courses are designed to equip individuals with job-ready skills.
Both programs are offered at no cost to eligible participants.

The STAR Program – Fiber Optics Industry Training is a Google-funded workforce development initiative facilitated by Palmetto Goodwill. This short-term training program is designed to help individuals launch careers in the fiber optics cabling industry, even if they have little to no prior experience.

The Palmetto Excel Center is a tuition-free public charter high school for adults 21+ in the Charleston Tri-County area. It offers a South Carolina high school diploma, industry-recognized certifications, and college credits. If you are interested in obtaining your diploma for free, you can learn more here.

Adults 21 and older can apply through the Admissions Page. The school runs on 8-week terms with multiple start dates each year.
