Court-Ordered Community Service
Palmetto Goodwill welcomes individuals who are required to work community service hours by a court. All individuals completing their community service with us must submit an application and provide court-ordered documents, a state-issued identification card, and their Social Security card.
Policies and Procedures
Palmetto Goodwill welcomes individuals who are required to work community service hours by a court. All individuals completing their community service with us must submit an application and provide court-ordered documents, a state-issued identification card, and their Social Security card. A background check is required, even if you’ve completed community service with us before.
We will not accept a court-ordered volunteer who is ‘being charged’, pleading guilty to, or have been found guilty of certain serious offenses, including but not limited to:
- Violent or abusive offense.
- Theft, breach of trust, financial fraud, or burglary.
- Sexual offense or abuse.
Palmetto Goodwill reserves the right to deny any individual in need of court-ordered community service hours the ability to volunteer based on the nature, type, or specifics of their offense. Individuals will be judged solely by their offense(s) and not by any other means (age, race, religions, sexual orientation, or disability).
