Fiber Optics Installation Training

The STAR fiber optic program is designed to prepare you for entry level data cable installation in data centers, new/retrofit construction and electrical companies. This program is for anyone in the Tri-County region who is interested in becoming a fiber optics professional and is great for recent high school graduates and veterans.

Fiber Optic Industry Certification Training

Class participants will have full access to support from Palmetto Goodwill success coaches who provide professional skills development, interview preparation, resume optimization, and employer networking opportunities.

Program Benefits:

  • $16/hour paid training for 5 weeks
  • Hands-on classroom instruction
  • Get certified in OSHA 10 construction, first aid, CPR, and forklift operation
  • Develop professional skills for multiple job sites

Week 3: Facilitator-led study and employer visits
Week 4: Study for the written exam
Week 5: Live training and hands-on exam
